He said, he heard that Wednesday Encounters was gone, and by gone he means, no longer REQUIRED to be played on Wednesday. He said he heard (??) that as long as it was run in the week it was expected, it could be on any given night.
I had no heard this, nor do I see anything, but I figured most of you coudl direct me to the current guides.
Personally, for my FLGS, this would be a Moradinsend, as almost no one can DM or play on Wednesdays in this town. |

My understanding, which meshes with the info I can find at dndadventurersleague.org/faq/ is that Encounters is still Wednesdays, but that each story can have their Expeditions program on whatever day of the week they choose to. |

They confirmed that Encounters HAS to be on Wednesday (just the time is flexible) but Expeditions which build off of Encounters can be held on any day. Expeditions also are more lengthy (pretty much supporting a full adventure arc in 5e rather than just the 1st part) and my understanding is they include the part that's played in Encounters. This at least gives flexibility for organized play and sovles the problems we ran into at my old Encounters location where we had a pretty stable playerbase and we all got tired of restarting and replaying levels 1-3 every couple of months. |
