#1 1187343 Dec 10, 2014 9:06:33	I am curious about digital tools for 5th Edition. Will there be something like Character Builder and Compendium like it was for 4th Edition? Where can I get info about current state and future plans for this kind of tools?

I didn't know why they'd decided to go out of house in the first place when they had had a good  character builder of their own for 4th. Now we are in limbo?
#5 Torg_Smith Dec 13, 2014 7:13:53	I personally prefer form fillable PDFs for characters. You have way more flexibility for supporting house rules. If the books come out in PDF, then you can copy and paste into your character sheet as well.
#6 DaveyJones6913 Dec 13, 2014 7:21:29	dungeonscape has started a kickstarter campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/trapdoortech/codename-morningstar   looking for $450.000... i'm starting to understand why the partnership didn't work out. seriously, 450k to develop a bloody mobile app based mostly around database functionality?   anyway, i can't believe WotC would be so foolish as to not release the core books as pdf's at some point. though no announcement has been made yet.   meanwhile i have been trying out this android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wgkammerer.testgui.basiccharactersheet.app it's an automated character sheet. still missing a few minor features, like spell points for the sourcerer and such, but other then that it is pretty good.   also i came across these from another forum member: http://1-dot-encounter-planner.appspot.com/ there is an npc generator, treasure generator and an encounter difficulty calculator.
