It's like buying a pack of hot dogs and then buns. 8 hot dogs...6 buns. This has been the way of things for decades, and nobody wants to solve it. We don't know why, but it just is. I can accept this only because different companies do each.
WOTC does not evade my judgement so easily.
Clerics, Druids, Paladins, and Rangers all get access to every spell in their list. They need only prepare them each day, etc. We love this mechanic of not losing your spells. It makes us happy inside.
Then you look at the spell sheet. It even has a happy little circle for marking what you have prepared. But low and behold, there aren't enough slots for the divine casters to put most of the spells. This is especially try for the Cleric and Druid. The cleric more so because they also get 1 domain spells at certain levels. (1, 3, 6, 9, and your mom I think)

Rangers don't. They have a limited list like a Sorcerer.

Are you saying the character sheet doesn't have enough spaces to write down all the spells you prepared, or is it all the spells you could prepare?
If the former, I hadn't run into that. I think you would need to be a quite high level and prepare all low level spells.
If the later, why would you want to write down all the cleric spells, it is already written down in the book? Just write down ones you prepare as you prepare them. Most people don't rotate through too many different spells, but if you run out of room, just erase some you don't plan to use.
I just write down the top 5-6 spells that I feel I will use consistantly. The rest of the space is for the spells that cycle in and out.
Eight buns. Ten hot dogs. 
This problem has been mostly solved, though. Most companies have started putting only eight hot dogs in the package now.
Wizards aren't much better because of how many spells they can prepare from how many then can have available in their spell book.
But at least the wizards COULD have enough slots on their character sheets for all their spells ...
