#1 Nesian42Ryukaiel Sep 08, 2014 18:58:14	I'm really short of the mid to high level monsters, as of now. The proposed "most strong creature in Basic" Ancient Red Dragon (apparently CR 24) isn't there (although existing as one of MM's official spoilers, being just a tougher version of the Adult), and creatures of CRs 11~16 and 18~20 at the least are missing.   As the design team seems to be working on the DMG, maybe they'll start polishing this when the editing is done, but no sign of such event were seen on Twitter and other sources, plus the D&D HP seems to have slowed down a lot with updates. It's really making me itchy!   ----   p.s. By the way, below are the CRs for all NPCs and monsters for the DM Basic Rules v0.1. #2 Akeisha Sep 08, 2014 21:00:51	My best guess is that an update for the Basic Player's and DM's books will occur when the Monster Manual becomes available (if they continue to follow the same pattern as with the Starter Set and PHB releases).
#3 BoldItalic Sep 08, 2014 23:30:32	I'd agree with Akeisha but I think we should expect the nexr Basic update to be mainly DMG stuff, not more free monsters. It's only a few more weeks until the MM is released and they want to sell the books, not give all the monsters away!   But there are some more monsters in the HotDQ supplemental download, if that helps.
#4 Inaubryyn Sep 09, 2014 1:49:56	Has anyone else noticed the abundance of animals in the released monster list? It's either the regular animal itself, or a giant version of said animal. I will make the assumption that this will not be the case in the MM. Not sure about you guys, but I and my players have had our fill of fighting giant platypuses... platypi? platypix?
