A dragon shaman may gain its powers through a pact with a living dragon, drinking the blood of an Ancient Dragon and mastering its power in an obscure ritual, or even channeling the power of long-dead dragons whose souls still linger in the material. Whatever the source, a dragon shaman is able to tap into draconic power through their rage.
Dragon Totem At 3rd level, when you adopt this path, choose a type of dragon as your dragon totem. Your choice affects a number of your other dragon shaman features.
Dragon Totem Damage Type Breath Weapon Black Acid 5 x 30 ft. line (Dex. save) Blue Lightning 5 x 30 ft. line (Dex. save) Brass Fire 5 x 30 ft. line (Dex. save) Bronze Lightning 5 x 30 ft. line (Dex. save) Copper Acid 5 x 30 ft. line (Dex. save) Gold Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save) Green Poison 15 ft. cone (Con. save) Red Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save) Silver Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save) White Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
Breath Weapon While you are raging, you can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your dragon totem determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases by 1d6 each time you reach an odd level (3d6 at 5th level, 4d6 at 7th level, etc). After you use your breath weapon, you cannot use it again until you complete a short rest or a long rest.
Dragon Rage While raging you take on the aspects of your dragon totem, granting you the following benefits:
Dragonheart Starting at 6th level, your connection to your totem dragon protects you from harm. You gain a bonus to saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier (with a minimum bonus of +1).
Dragon Talons By 10th level, you are able to channel dragonfire through your melee attacks. While you are raging, your melee attacks deal 1d6 extra damage of the damage type associated with your dragon totem.
Dragon Wings Starting at 14th level, when you enter a rage, you can choose to grow a pair of dragon wings from your back. The wings grant you a fly speed equal to your current speed. The wings last for the duration of your rage.

| #4rampantNov 27, 2014 15:30:12 | 1.) Does dragon heart apply even when not raging?
2.) Why charisma? Why not constitution seeing as that's a stat barbarians already use?
3.) GOnna be honest the whole claws while raging thing seems like a bad idea, mostly because they don't work except when you rage so you can't take feats to capitalize on them without loosing most of that advantage when not raging, also it's just not impressive, I'd say ditch the claws and have the 10th level ability be weapon neutral.
4.) Darkvision while raging is again unimpressive and hard to capitalize on, consider ditching it, making it a constant ability, or upping the rage boosted senses up a notch or two to somehting like blindsense or scent.
5.) This is a wholly separate subclass from the other totem barbarian right? it's not like the one where you can mix and match between 3 animal totems?
6.) Instead of flight while raging what about a fear effect? |

Keep the breath weapon but make the DC CON based. Have the second ability a frightful presence power using the same DC as the breath weapon, maybe lower the area effect to 30 or 60ft. |
