| #1Storyteller-ZeroJul 16, 2014 22:00:47 | From page 33 of Basic Rules PDF:
"Hailing from the Dragonlance setting, Tika Waylan was a brash teenager who had a rough childhood."
The Dragonlance setting would not be mentioned if they weren't going to put out a book for it, right?
Anyone have any info on this?
What do you think? |

It's interesting that they picked Tika as a sample. She was a very minor player in the novels but was quite fun to play as a PC. I'd be quite happy if they just went so far as to stat up two characters each month in Dragon Magazine with some artwork for starters. |

I think it's hopefully that they'll at least release some 5e content for the setting, although I don't know what form it will take. It may be a hardcover setting guide, or it may just be a series of articles in Dragon and Dungeon. I'm not sure the devs even know ~ they're remaining very tight-lipped about settings. |

Many settings are mentioned in the rules we have so far, but I'd hesitate to use that fact as evidence of anything in particular, much less firm product plans. Dark Sun and Eberron, for example, continue to be popular among newer DMs and players, so they're likely candidates as well, but past popularity and/or sales probably aren't the only things WotC will consider. Unless and until R&D makes announcements for early 2015 products, speculation is really all we have. |
