This is a conversion including some copy and paste form the D3 Vault of the Drow adventure from 1980. Note that these Drow are for NPCs only and much like the AD&D Drow are intended to challenge high level opponents. This means that yes the DC20 Drow poison is intentional (it was DC 20 in effect at -4 in 1st ed) and yes Drow weapons can break bounded accuracy by scaling up to +4 and +5 bonuses. Their magic resistance is also based off old AD&D magic resistance and I have renamed it superior magic resistance here.

I hated how in salvatores books he retconned drow weapons into adamant but made the metal vulnrable to day light. Well I hate just about everything he retconned about the drow for forgotten realms.

I'm not sure I understand what this is or why it is here.

Zard can speak for himself, but I suspect he posted his 5e conversion, in part at least, because of the conversation in this thread about whether all Drow should officially be evil worshippers of Lolth, etc. Things got sidetracked before petering out, but the first few pages are probably worth a read if you're at all interested in the Drow (past or present).

Zard seems to have pretty radical ideas even by my standards but I sense no malice in his heart so I'd cut him some slack.

I believe what he has provide here is a Greyhawk drow elf purely for comparison and review.  Take it and use it or ignore it.  No harm no foul.

You need to change the MR to just advantage on all saves vs magic. This edition isn't doing MR like past iterations. See Flameskull in Starter Set: Magic Resistance. The flameskull has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

OT: Salvatore is really over-rated IMO. He does describe melee combat much better than most writers, but other than that I find his characters hard to sympathize with and never feel any connection to them. Drizzt has been over used, to say the least.
