Early Release of Players Handbook?

Will Wizard's Play Network stores be receiving the Player's Handbook early like they did with the Starter Set? If so, does anybodyy know when?

Yes, stores that received the Starter Set early will be receiving the Player's Handbook (and all other D&D products released by Wizards of the Coast) early.

 

In the case of the Players Handbook, the early release date is August 8th.

 

In general, the early release is two Fridays prior to the normal release date.

Yep. I'm already set to get mine a week from Friday from my FLGS.

Great way to get folks into the local FLGS! I've been running the Lost Mines of Phandelver and have met some great players because of it. I also brought my son in and he got to play D&D with people he has never met before! This is what being part of the D&D Community is about!

I saw a website listing the WPN dates but it didn't say there would be any early release for Tyranny of Dragons. Is there no early release for this?

Apparently there are different levels of WPN stores, and not all are eligible for early release sales. It would be best to call around before making the trip.

Odd situation here... I've got the PHB that I picked up for a buddy since he couldn't make the trip across town for it (I live less than a mile from the FLGS and have a car, he lives nearly 10 miles from it and walks everywhere), but I don't have the Hoard of the Dragon Queen adventure that I actually specifically ordered at the FLGS because they weren't shipped any yet for some reason.
