i don't understand why Warlocks & Wizards get Elemental bane and not Sorcerers.

It allows you to use this spell versus taking the Elemental adept feat. I understand the most likely reason is for the Dragon Sorcerers not to have this, but wild Sorcerers can't add Charisma modifiers.

They should be a way to allow Wild Sorcerers to learn the spell.

Or am I over reacting and it's really not a good spell

I don't know whether you are over reacting or not, but if you feel like it makes sense that dragon sorcerers not have access to the spell then you are unfortunately already aware of exactly why it isn't on the sorcerer list, and there isn't a wild sorcerer feature to add spells from outside the sorcerer list - so your best bet is to talk to your DM and see if you can get the spell (such as through doing research to "invent" it, or being gifted that spell by some powerful entity).

I don't know why anyone would have that spell.

It's pretty bad.

I agree that I can ask the DM to allow it. I guess that I would have hoped WoTC would have something like what they did with the Druid in Elemental Evil guide which stated that some spelld may not be available to a Druid caster based on their selected region. They could have stated that spell is available only to Wild Sorcerers.

Thank you for your input. I value your input and only several others on this forum.
