For people they like using minatures.

I wonder if we will see more print on demand services like this over time and see the price going down.

Detailed/paintable quality runs $25 (plus, I presume, shipping). Seems a bit pricy for a single 30mm mini.

<shrug> I'll use "close enough" with one of the hundreds of Bones minis I already have. Of the countless others in my collection...

30 dollars for a mini is pricey for me.  Games workshop is massively overpriced in my book.   I guess if I loved minis more I might not feel this way.   When it gets down to a couple bucks a mini plus shipping let me know.

I want to like this heroforge thing... maybe given time there will be more options for clothing, but as-is right now I can get no closer to the "perfect" look of any of the characters in my campaigns than can be done by picking up a $2-$5 Reaper mini.

I love the concept, but they need to add a lot more options.  The whole point if 3d printing is that they could make every miniature unique. A selection of like 12 weapons or whatever is way too few, there should be hundreds of choices for each option.

Also, it would be a lot more interesting if they were made with colored plastic so painting is unneccesary.  Maybe the tech isn't there yet, but it should be soon.
