"If the wall cuts through a creature's space, the creature is pushed to one side of the wall". This means the Wizard can basically shove enemies around with his walls, leading to all sorts of fun scenarios. Keep in mind this shove also is save-free and equally affects etheral creatures. Set up a block next to a pit/cliff and shove the enemy off or set up a box with a wall over the enemy's neck, pushing them upwards out of the box in a homemade force cannon(also potetntially off a cliff).
Now that that's out of the way, time for some ideas that sound fun, are potentially rules-legal, but no sane Dm would ever allow.
Put two walls around an enemy, put two more walls overlapping their torso and waist(the reason is each wall must be connected to another wall). For the "potentially rules-legal" part, this next part depends if "one side" is decided seperately for each wall. If so, have the torso wall push them down, and the waist wall push them up for an instant deathtrap. Again, the push effect grants no save.
Set 2 walls in the enemy's body clsoe to each other(for example, divind the enemy in half unlethally) and have them push the enemy so they spin. Instant centrifuge.
This one's a little tricker, as it depends on what you consider a "side". If it means only the 2 big sides, then this won't work. If the "1/4 inch thick edges" count as sides, then put one wall overlapping the enemy's body like above, then the other 9 straight upwards at an angle, now push them up, up, and away 100 feet, then watch them crash to the ground for 100 ft of falling damage.
Now for a rules-legal one that I had to save for last. Let's pick on the Tarrasque again.
Since the Wall of Force can be set free floating(the only limitation is when using the "10 10x10 panels" option is that each panel has to connect to another one). Put some Walls in the Tarrasque with the sides facing up/down. Make a force floor inside it, however make sure the Tarrasque can't leverage one of it's arms or legs onto it once it's all set up. Now, have the "floor" push the Tarrasque up(again, the push affect does't allow for a save). Now that it can no longer reach the ground, you're free to pot shot it with, you guessed it, Acid Splash! So this is like the "I can Fly and acid splash it to death" thing earlier, except this time it's the Tarrasque who's airborne(but still helpless) suspended by a Floor of Force, and this time he can't reach any rocks to throw at you. Now kick back, relax, watch the Tarrasque angrily wriggle it's arms and legs trying to reach the ground to kill you as you Acid Splash it to death. |
