what good-aligned monsters will be in 5th edition?

I would really love to have the phoenix, lammasu, shedu. bariaur, guardinals, and couatl return to 5e, but I haven't heard that they will return.

I think flumphs were confirmed.

We know the cosmos will have the great wheel as the default, so I imagine it's a safe bet that we'll see all of the celestials again.  Also, I would be quite surprised if the metallic dragons didn't return for 5e.

Look, we have flumphs. What more do you need?

The Wandering Monster articles mentioned angels and pegasi with the implication that they are good.  I think the 4e "servant of the god regardless of whether the gods were good or not" angels were pretty popular, so I hope they split aasimar from angels, maybe making assimar independent agents of good (like succubi are independent agents of evil).  I also recall there was a lot of talk about immortal guardian monsters, so that would probably include the shedu and lamersu.

I suppose other factions of generally good races would count. It is not unheard of for good kingdoms to come to blows over one thing or another and a LG paladin could be a CG tieflings worse nightmare... or the reverse.

I am sure we will good monsters because one of the targets by game designers are the "monster pets" or no-humanoid allies. Even we could see in the future a "pokemon trainer" class like the summoner from Pathfinder rpg.

Other option could be a template to create temporal "digievolution". A wizard´s familiar could use a druid´s wildshape to become a monster bodyguard.

Monsters with opposite aligment could be possible, for example in the movie "I, Frankestein" the gargoyles are the good boys. Or even the medusa could be a anti-heroine, a victim of **** who defends a sacred place and avenges innocent women hurt by males.

Kender.  Good by nature, but natural instincts and tendancies cause them to steal things from everyone, all the time, without even realizing it.

I want to see a Paladin pet class with an coatl for an ally!

Actually, that would probably work really well.   It would be a mix of Warlord and Ranger abilities, with a focus on using the Pally Auras and Lay On Hand features.   The pet could channel the smites when it attacks.
