I am currently running a campaign where as far as the players know an immortal wizard has used a ritual to create a near infinite dimensional space and a whole lot of evil and treasure. The use of the ritual is suppose to drain the immortality away from him granting the death he wishes. The truth is that he is a greed demon feeding on the greed of all within in order to become a god.

What I need next to come up with is to come up with a Greed Domain and an Oath of Consumption, so I thought I would crowd source some ideas. Thanks muchly in advance.

Fun part is that so far the players have been pretty darn greedy and seeing as though I am not stopping them I think the Forgotten Realms will have a new god at this rate.

This is my draft for a Greed Domain:

Domain Spells:

1. Charm Person, Disguise Self

3. Create Food & Water, Non Detection

5. Seeming, Bigby's Hand

7. Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion, Sequester

9. Foresight, Gate

1st Level - Proficiency in Heavy Armour, Sleight of Hand and Deception.

1st Level - Greedy Harvest: Any healing magic by any creature within 30ft of the character is reduced by the characters Wisdom modifier and the character gains half this reduced amount.

2nd Level - Borrowed Clothing (Channel Divinity): As a Reaction remove a beneficial effect on a creature within 30ft and apply it to yourself. Duration, concentration etc as per when stolen.

6th Level - Gain expertise in Sleight of Hand and Deception.. The character can spend a use of channel divinity to giive opposed rolls to these 2 skills disadvantage for 1 round.

8th Level - Any spell cast by the character others that grants a beneficial effect also effects the character.

17th Level - As a bonus action if there is a creature within 30ft that has advantage you can steal the advantage from them. If you have disadvantage the target creature gains disadvantage. This can be us Wisdom modifier times between long rests.

What do all think?

I think you slightly misunderstand the way domain spells are given out. You don't get two 1st level spell, two 3rd level spells, two 5th level spells, etc. You get two level 1 spells at 1st cleric level, two level 2 spells at 3rd cleric level, two level 3 spells at 5th level, etc.

The Channel Divinity feature is plainly overpowered. A low-level cleric being effectively able to cast any level spell as long as someone else cast it first. For example, Foresight is a 9th level spell; yet, as written, your Channel Divinity would give it to a 2nd level cleric.

Those are the most critical errors I can see. I would also suggest that you look first at the cleric spell list when choosing domain spells.
