I never been interested in mini, but my new DnD group love mini and are almost crazy about them. So I would like to at least have a mini to represent my character in game.

I play an male half elf sorcerer with the red dragon subclass. When I search trought there collection I see a lot of wizard (with books), female spellcaster, mini that are visibily the wrong race (tiefling, dwarf, gnome, or mini that are just look horrible IMO.

I was wondering if someone could show me a good mini that could represent my character and where can I get it. I sucks at painting, but some of the player at my table offered to paint it for me, but I would like to show them a model.

I would like if the mini could show those red scale that dragon sorcerer receive at level 1 (AC=13+dex)

thank you

Do you have much Lego? You could probably whip together a suitable figure. Like the head of Red Skull or Spiderman with a general Wizard (or Gandalf) body and hat.

This is what our sorcerer uses. It's pre-painted and everything.

you might want to take a look at warhammer fantasy models, thats what my group uses. you have to assamble and paint the models yourself though.

I have almost 1000 minis. The one thing I've told my players the most when they are looking for minis for their characters is that they will almost never find a mini that matches their character concept perfectly. I mean, it could happen but it would be absolutely amazing to me. I haven't seen it yet. Something so specific as a red-dragon scaled half-elf sorcerer quite likely doens't exist. I also recommend one just finds something close that they like. Once I do this, my players universally have found a mini they like and are happy with even though it's not spot on.

I have also recommended to them that if they want a mini that perfectly matches their character concept, they actually just need to find a bad ass mini and build their character concept on that. However, not one has taken me up on that offer.

This is the half-elf sorcerer mini from the original WotC D&D minis set, Harbinger:

I think I found one interesting: Seltyiel, Iconic half elf magus/Eldritch Knight from Paizo, I could simply need a good paint job to add some red scale around the face and a little bit on the chestSeltyel

Anyone can give me pointers on how to add cool looking red scale? How to paint the flamme to make them look lively? Any painting pointer in general (since I believe the mini come unpainted.

If anyone find a better looking mini I am still open to suggestion.

thank you

I don't think you'll find a mini better than that for it. Or at least, if one is better I can't imagine it's that much better. I have no advice how to paint them as I always buy prepainted.

That really is a sweet mini.
