Has Anyone Heard Anything About 5e Monster Cards?

I love the Monster Manual, don't get me wrong. And when I'm sitting around planning out adventures, it's a great resource that's fun to flip through. But at the table, I think I'd find it much more convenient to use a deck of monster cards. Being able to pull the stats for the creatures I'm using that evening, maybe with a picture on the back to show players (without having to cover up stats)... Very useful!

Does anyone know if there are any plans to release a deck? Are there even any rumors along these lines...?

I don't think there are any plans to do anything like this, and probably for good reason. Half the monsters in the book just won't fit on a card unless they're summarized, in which case you're flipping through the book regardless.

I like the idea of that.

It could have little clips to attach the card to the top of the DM screen so the players see the illustration and you have the stats facing you. I like how Galeforce 9 made the custom DM screen for the first two adventure books with illustrations for the NPCs, but it would be much more resuable if it was more modular.

This is something I've started working on doing for myself. Just need more time and more motivation.

I like it, cool idea with the monster picture pinned to the back of a DM screen as mentioned above.

I have all the spellcard decks, both versions now.  I could see these being slightly bigger in dimensions than the spellbook cards.  What comes to mind was the oversized baseball cards back in my early teen years in the 80s.  I  loved them but hated them since they didn't fit in my 3x9 card pages.  Then I remembered my AD&D starter box had pre-gen cards in it so I found it and this 1980's goodness!
