#1 Sands666 Apr 06, 2015 4:56:17	Hey everyone,   I had a question for the Realms savvy amongst you.  I have been running a home brew campaign, so I haven't had a chance to run it, but I was reading through Horde of the Dragon Queen.  I noticed that the map in the book seems to be slightly different than other maps I found on line.  The reason I started looking at maps was because of the part where the group travels from Greenest to Elturel. On the map in the book the road passes by Berdusk and through Scornubel. I started wondering why there wasn't any mention of this at the beginning of Episode 4.  When I looked on line at the Realms Wiki and scanned over the Sword Coast maps there, they seemed to be much different.  One of the maps had a road that leads from Greenest right to Eltural (after a fork in the road). On the Wiki map I spotted, it did not have the road moving through Berdusk OR Scornubel...   So does anyone know what is going on with that?
#2 Rhenny Apr 06, 2015 17:55:38	I've resisted reading through the adventure because I'm playing in a campaign now, but we just started this part of the adventure.  We were in Greenenst and then we had to travel to Elturel.   Our DM just had us take the 6 days of travel and got us to Elturel.   Perhaps the adventure makes the route more direct so that DMs can just handwave the journey?   Not sure.

#4 sirkaikillah11 Apr 06, 2015 19:27:59	I use the map in the book. I decided a small trail let directly from Greenest to Elturel directly. Its not on the map. I had them travel 6 days by horse.
#5 Ramzour Apr 07, 2015 3:11:33	A quick google image search of "Forgotten Realms Map" shows this map here. There's a trail leading through the Greenfields, from Greenest and directly up to Elturel. That's the way my players took. The ride was 2-3 days by horse.   One could also go NE from Greenest to the river, then take that up to Scornubel, and then west to Elturel.
