Well guys, I've been running a campaign of NEXT with the playtest rules, and we switched to basic rules when they came out. We're ok with the limits imposed to the classes... However, how are we to play without monster stat blocks?
I mean, Monster Manual will take quite a while to come out, how are people who bought basic supposed to continue the campaign with only PHB? And those who decide to stick with basic.. How are they gonna play? I've been grabbing monster stats from the playtest documents, but is that enough?

I am sure they will slowly put more monsters out as teasers over the next month or so.

The OP voices a fair sentiment. There will supposedly be monsters in Basic when the PH comes out in August. I'm using the playtest monsters, teasers, and want to experiment using my old 1e MM and Fiend Folio (20 - old AC = new AC). I may also mix up the abilities of the playtest monsters and create flying basilisks, two-headed dragons, and other affronts to nature. I may not have much free time until the PH comes out, however, so this issue is largely moot for me!
