| #4MonsterEnvyAug 24, 2015 20:27:41 | Ok well first off the 4e book is not compatable with the 3e books. Secondly you are on the wrong board in two ways. The thread would go in player advice and the books you are talking about are not 5e so the thread should move over to the old section.

| #8ZardnaarAug 25, 2015 22:40:36 | Learning D&D form old sourcebooks is fine though and you can always move onto 5E if you like D&D. I used old materials that were 1-2 editions out of date when I first started as we did not know what was current and what was what (this was pre internet in 1993). |
