I've got it pre-ordered, and I won't get it until December. I know that realistically that I must wait and that there's no changing that, but that's not the point—I'm just terribly excited about getting the DMG.

So, anyone else here exiced? What are you most looking forward to, now that we have a slight idea (from the ToC) of what we may find in the DMG?

I'm excited.  Originally, I planned to order the books from Amazon, but then I canceled each order in turn so that I could just go buy them from my FLGS.  I did the same for the DMG.  I need to get it as early as I can...it is an addiction.

I am dying to see the official options for hacking the game, the magic, more downtime options, spell creation and monster creation guidelines, and more.

I want to see the downtime acitvities. I have fallen deeply in love with the idea. Probably because I used to be a big EVE player.

In fact, I want a new sheet for player groups to keep track of the downtime acitivities they are pursuing, with days spent and the ultimate day goal.

I am excited in a similar fashion to how CCS is excited.

I expect, however, that I'll be seeing surprised posters that didn't realize how many options or modules can be handled well with few words, thus flabbergasting their idea that it is impossible to cover every aspect of the game WotC has claimed they will cover in "only" 320 pages.

I haven't even pre-ordered yet and I want it to arrive now!

I want it so that I can play those old school modules. I need to convert some monsters that were in the play-tests but not in the 5E Monster Manual.

I'm looking forward to DMG, in Australia I'll have to wait till the Dec date...... in the meantime, Dragon Age 3 comes out mid Nov to keep me distracted!

I liked what I saw during the alpha playtest, so I am excited to see the final product! I also think that many people will be surprised at just how many little rules variants and modules can fit into 320 pages.

I am looking forward to the DMG less because I think it will solve all problems and more because my OCD says I have to have the complete set.

Having been tossed into the DM seat recently, there are so many aspects of the DMG that I'm looking forward to. The finalized encounter guidelines and the monster building guidelines (along with the guidelines in the free conversion document pdf—there are plenty of things from previous editions that I want to add) sit neatly on the top of the list. Heck, I'm looking forward to ALL the content design guidelines. There's also the usual suspects like random encounters, magic items, and such. And the rules modules I'm looking forward to most, though, are morale, mass combat, and resting options (my group is completely on the fence about the default rules).

I also can't wait until we get that conversion guidelines pdf and a revised DM Basic Rules, as it will sate some of my desire until the DMG plops into my lap.

I used to order my stuff from Military Sims myself prior to my relocation to Canada in 2001. I take it they are still going strong based on the above comment.
