I will start with bounded accuracy. I do not find the math behind it to be week or fragile at all. It is a shift from very high ACs and not getting hit.   To being hit and hitting much more frequently.I think in 4e you had to have the right buffs and party mix to optimize. I think there was nothing more disheartening than missing with your big daily in 4e or missing in 3e related to very high ACs and disending hit bonuses.

In 5e looking at the 2 legendary monsters one had 24 AC and one had 25. If you take a  20th level fighter with a 24 to 25 str +7 stat bonus and +6 for profecency that is 13 then +3 for an attuned magic item is 16. So you still need an 8 and 9 to hit. You will hit more but also be hit more. I like that idea/concept. I think the shift now is gaining advantage and disadvantage.

Advantage and disadvantage is some thing that can swing the balance of combat and make the difference of being hit or not being hit. I like this concept also quite a bit. I think we have become very conditioned to loo at +2 or -2 and rolling 2d20s and taking the best or worse of the rolls. I think this along with bounded accuracy is a bigger shift than most have discussed and I like the new direction quite a bit.
