There is a poll up on ENworld atm and it is getitng close to 100 responses.
http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?427320-What-kind-of-adventures-would-you-rather-see-for-5th-edition
Basically it is asking what type of adventures people want. WoTC is starting to come under heavy fire for a lack of product. The few fanboys are saying about the new adventurecoming out next month the Elemental Evil AP.
THe thing is most of the poll respondents want shorter adventures. Only 3 people want more APs, the rest is split rouighly between moreshorter adventures or a healthy dose of APs and shorter adventures.
Shorter adventures probably meaning Dungeon magazine type adventures or 32 page adventure modules. APs are so 2008;).
I like some APs (Savage Tide, Kingmaker, Age of Worms, Skull and Shackles) but they do tend to be a bit rail roady and I have never gone past level 10 in them as PCs often get bored, the group changes, PCs die etc. My PCs refuse to play HotDQ as we tried it and got TPKed in it at level 1 and its not like that adventure is really worth sticking around for anyway.

I think there is a market for both and since WotC is selling PDFs of old adventures now, they already have a delivery system that cuts cost.
Until recently, I never bought or used entire adventure paths. But I have bought Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle which I'm using for my current campaign. I also bought both HoDQ and Rise of Tiamat. Even if I never use them completely I am going to mine them for ideas.
Now I am beginning to see the value of both APs and shorter adventures. WoTC will be missing opportunities if they don't provide both. |

Breaks down to two stand alones & 1 AP volume per quarter. Unlike PF they should NOT have different writers writing the different AP volumes. (If author A writes the 1st half? Then author A should also write the 2nd half. And author B writes all of AP #2.... THAT'S my biggest pet peeve against PF'S approach to APs because each volume may/may not mesh well with the others in its series because of the multiple writers. Yes, I know why it's done that way, but it's still annoying.) |

| #14UchawiMar 09, 2015 3:44:46 | I want new and interesting adventures, and I expect the length and format may vary depending on the author. But I don't want re-writes of old adventures, like the vault of the drow's sister, white plume hotel resort, etc. Just re-releasing old adventures covers that ground. |
| #15arderkragMar 09, 2015 16:12:17 | Heavy fire? Riiiight. Enworld? Pfft. |
| #16Mephi1234Mar 09, 2015 19:49:58 | I don't buy adventure path type stuff. I did once upon a time, never used them. So, no more. I don't think that they're going to be the lifeblood of the game or anything, so it doesn't bother me in the slightest. |
| #17caridhorMar 09, 2015 21:31:22 | I would like to see an update of all the old module series, especially from the old D&D series as I think the younger, newer generations would enjoy them. |
