Not sure what to thin of the new D&D but I like parts of it and dislike other parts but the monster math looks interesting as it kind of compensates for the rapid healing.  I am also a sucker for boxed sets.     The cost was a biot of a pain. $15 NZD on Amazon for the box, but $11 postage which makes it $27 (21 USD approx) or so  which is what it would cost at normal retail prices in the US.    Still cheaper than buying it retail over here and adjusted for inflation cheaper than the starter box for 2nd ed i bought in 1999. I am a bit out of the loop on modern physical products having been printing PDFs for the last 2 years or so but I have seen the 4E Monster Vault and Pathfinder boxed sets as well which were kewl with the tokens and everything.    See what my players think and the othergroup I play with thinks and go from there.

They play in Takapuna at the Redzeed fanatic store on a Tuesday night 6 pm till 10 pm each week. There is also the Waypoint convention coming up in September this year, Pathfinder mostly, one DnD game scheduled at present.
