I like it, not just a squid anymore. |

Interesting.
I would rather use the classic squid-like creature instead, but the drawing is well done on this one. |
| #3ChrisCarlsonSep 11, 2014 8:38:51 | I like this this is sort of a mash-up of the traditional "tentacled horror" squid or octapus concept with the titanic, legendary creature as depicted in the Clash of the Titans. I can work with this. |
| #4melloredSep 11, 2014 8:42:35 | I approve. |
| #5MechatarrasqueSep 11, 2014 10:54:29 | The PC trying to sneak around the kraken from behind is going to be surprised! No reason that the kraken has to look exactly like a giant squid, and it is not like a DM who doesn't like this look can't easily find pictures/descriptions of the traditional kraken. |
| #6Luis_CarlosSep 11, 2014 10:58:50 | The squid kraken has been a classic monster, but the new is more dreadful, a creature you want to face.
|
| #7DemoMonkeySep 11, 2014 11:00:42 | If all you see from the surface are the tentacles, how would you even KNOW the Kraken isn't a giant squid?
If it surfaces, it will probably kill you all, and if it doesn't, you'll never see it. In either case, no one will be able to talk to a police sketch artist about it. |
| #8HailroboniaSep 11, 2014 11:08:40 | I picture the heroes on a quest to kill the kraken. Well-supplied with potions of water breathing and wearing gloves of swimming they dive into the ocean, ready to battle the beast. Out of the dark depths it emerges - a hideous gigantic cephalopod. Its skin flashing red then pale it releases a sinister cloud of ink. The heroes attack, some firing crossbow bolts at its eyes while others hack at its ten tentacles. Finally the hideous monstrosity is slain and the heroes rejoice that the kraken is no more....
...and suddenly from below the true monstrosity emerges.... the kraken siezes and gulps down the colossal squid it was pursuing and then turns its attention to the terrified land-dwellers. |

| #14WuzzardSep 11, 2014 14:29:41 | Can the Kraken ride the Tarrasque as a mount? |
| #15ShasarakSep 11, 2014 14:42:28 | Looks like a cool creature but, eh, not how I imagine a Kraken to look. |
| #16pukunuiSep 11, 2014 14:44:12 | I like it. Kind of like a mix between Godzilla and a giant squid.

| #17ZardnaarSep 11, 2014 14:46:05 | Hmmn a bit different and doesn't look awful I suppose. I kind of liked the squid look though. |
| #18FralexSep 11, 2014 16:39:50 | It's good because we already have a pretty good idea of how a kraken "traditionally" works, so this design is good for people who want to make it something different. |

I regret my next campaign is land-locked |
| #22trebor_rjfSep 12, 2014 17:19:21 | bleh. krakens are staying squids in my games. still, it's a cool sea monster in its own right, i guess. |
