Leomund ’s Tiny Hut
3rd-level evocation (ritual)
Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: Self (10-foot-radius hemisphere)
Components: V, S, M (a small crystal bead)
Duration: 8 hours
A 10-foot-radius immobile dome of force springs into existence around and above you and remains stationary for the duration. The spell ends if you leave its area. Nine creatures of Medium size or smaller can fit inside the dome with you. The spell fails if its area includes a larger creature or more than nine creatures. Creatures and objects within the dome when you cast this spell can move through it freely. All other creatures and objects are barred from passing through it. Spells and other magical effects can’t extend through the dome or be cast through it. The atmosphere inside the space is comfortable and dry, regardless of the weather outside. Until the spell ends, you can command the interior to becom e dimly lit or dark. The dome is opaque from the outside, of any color you choose, but it is transparent from the inside.
We have a Bard who recently fell in love with this spell. While inside the hut a purple worm showed up, would the worm be able to burrow in? I have players disagreeing and I honestly don't know. Is there a floor to it? I would think not if I had to pick but again, can't be certain?
Huh....I would think the worm could burrow up. The spell would then immediately fail.
I'm hoping that he didn't 'just fall in love with it' because he just turned 5th level..... because if so, that purple worm is *really* mean... 
I never looked at the 5e version of that spell.... I am completely bummed that it is no longer a hut. Leomunds Tiny Force Dome just isn't nearly as cool....
Wow, you are right. Now its going to bug me until I can remember what spell (or whatever) we were using back then to make an actual hut type place....
It may have just been something the DM made up... oh well...
The spell description is above, it says the spell fails if the area includes a larger than medium creature. I took that to include after it was cast, but I suppose it could only apply when you were casting it, and you could jam 50 people inside once its up.
I allow burrowing under. If you are concerned about player disagreement then let them fall into to purple worm as the ground is excavated out from under them, they have nothing to stand on, and gravity wins again. Once the caster falls out of the dome area the spell also fails.
The spell creates an impassable (to those not within the dome when the spell was cast) barrier "above and around you." Not under you, so burrowing would be an acceptable way in.
And out, for the druid in the party.

After having a chance to read the spell, I'm going with an interpretation that creatures can burrow into it from beneath (nothing even implies that there is a floor) but that the phrase "the spell fails if its area includes a larger creature or more than nine creatures" applies both at the time of casting and after the casting, because that makes the spell easier to apply consistently and the spell does not specify that phrase only applying during the casting.
So Valor Bard with Swift Quiver and Leomund's? Hell yeah!

Mathmaticly, Hemisphere includes the plane (i.e. the "floor").
"above and around" seems to me to imply all sides.
So the purple worm can't enter.
That said, if the ground drops out from under you (objects can freely leave),
you fall out of the hut (assuming your arn't levitating or some such),
and then the spell ends.
