Most stat blocks don't have equipment information outside of what weapons and armor the monster bears. So add a spellbook to his satchel in area 1 (the cellar) or in the chest in area 12 (his quarters). In my version, Iarno Albrek is a tiefling warlock named Hex Arcana that poses as a kindly wizard in the service of Hell's Cargo and he wears a big ol' belt buckle that says "Don't Mess With Hexes." So he doesn't have a spellbook. |

Aside from the spells he has prepared (as per his stat block), what spells would be reasonable choices for him to have in his spellbook? Would it break the balance of the adventure as-written if a PC Wizard wisely chose to spend his share of the loot copying both the scrolls in Glasstaff's possession and his spell book to get a wider spell selection? |

As for what spells are in the spellbook, what I'd probably do is wait for the player to ask if a specific spell is in it and then roll percentile dice to see if it is or not. I'm not sure what the chance for any given spell should be, though. |
