A hopeless recluse who avoided even talking to his only servant, Marvo dreamed of one day being a great adventurer. Gifted with immense magical abilities, Marvo would spend his days creating magical charms, items covered in illusory facades, and alchemical solutions for ailments. As the years went by, seclusion and daydreaming took its toll on his mind and his inventions began to become less useful and more bizarre. It was during this time that the common folk near his tower began regarding him as insane. On an otherwise calm night more than three hundred years ago, a giant red beam of light shone down from the moon and touched the top of the tower. The townsfolk who were brave enough to explore the strange structure afterwards found every door unlocked and everything neatly arranged within, though Marvo and his doorman were gone. The odd mix of items within the tower was taken, piece by piece, by the townsfolk over the years and sold off. The tower's location is currently a mystery. Many of the items Marvo created would make suitable trinkets or harmlessly cursed items. Marvo was a huge fan of puns, and practical jokes, and the items should reflect this. Please, feel free to brainstorm and add your own. 1. "Vanishing Spell" scroll - this scroll is marked "Vanishing Spell" in bold letters at the top. If the magical incantation is read, the magical runes disappear for one minute and then reappear. 2. Shrinking Potion - this small, sturdy bottle is indestructible. Regardless of what liquid is placed with, if a chracter unstoppers the bottle and attempts to quaff or pour out the contents, the bottle (and the cork) shrinks to the size of a thimble. The contents can still be quaffed at this point, and count as a full-sized dose. Stoppering the bottle causes it to grow back to normal size. 3. The Boomewrong - This boomerang is an odd sort of creation bordering on cursed. Once thrown, it always lands in the space of an ally (chosen at random) within 100'. If there are no allies within this distance, the Boomewrong travels 100' and falls. |

This delicate, shimmering bird feather feels light and silky, just like a normal feather, as long as it being touched or held by a sentient being. As soon as such physical contact ends, however, the Featherweight becomes rigid and heavy as if it were made of lead or gold. |
