Yay! |

This is fantastic news as the MM is my favorite part of D&D.
Edit: fixed |
| #3THEMNGMNTJul 13, 2014 22:53:07 | Thanks, WotC! |
| #4BadMikeJul 13, 2014 22:58:08 | Woot! This rollout just gets better and better! |
| #5LucienderJul 13, 2014 22:58:45 | Excellent news! And +1 on the thread title. |
| #6RokElfslayerJul 13, 2014 23:15:54 | I am Monstar!!! Buahahahahah...! But seriously, this is good news. |
| #7Particle_ManJul 14, 2014 0:00:01 | Yay modrons! I was hoping they would make a comeback when I saw that LN alignment has been brought back. |
| #8NautilusJul 14, 2014 0:15:17 | Pity it's too late to put Primus on the cover. Great news, though. |

| #13Delazar78Jul 14, 2014 0:51:46 | MODRONS!!!
|
| #14setiJul 14, 2014 0:57:15 | -1 for spelling 'more' 'MOAR'.
I do like the MM news, though. But, honestly...32 more pages probably only cost them 32 more cents per book to print...If that. Not a big of a deal. Had they raised the price, I would have been dissapointed, but not shocked...Hasbro is, well, Hasbro. And WotC makes millions selling cards in over-priced blind-buy packs that you need to be competitive in MtG.
I've said it before, and I will say it again: Caster monsters BETTER have succinct spell descriptions and damage/range/save/whatever figures in their stat blocks. I don't want to have to look up monster spells in the PHB when I'm DMing. I thought (and hope) that that BS ended with 3.5/PF.
Really looking foreward to the new illustrations. I love the new look for goblins and that ogre pic from the starter set was perfect.
PS: Hurray Modrons! |

Hold on, if the book is 10% bigger, this means that each ten-ton delivery truck of monster manuals will be delivering 11% fewer copies to the warehouse.
There's going to be a shortage of copies!
Better pre-order two from different suppliers, just in case. |
| #24KarnosJul 14, 2014 4:40:29 | I wonder if the new Monster Manual will have book worms in it. i hope my copy doesn't. |

| #26ArithezooJul 14, 2014 6:26:57 | Woohoo!
That is all. |
| #27AquaticSpaceChickenJul 14, 2014 6:33:13 | Happiness!
Also, loved Mike Mearls' description of monster manual as crate bursting with monsters. |
| #28alienuxJul 14, 2014 8:20:52 | Very cool! I'll take as many monsters as I can get. |
| #29quindiaJul 14, 2014 8:34:00 | Very cool. Obviously they are still making their profits and some people will still grumble about the price, but they didn't have to leave the cost the same. Adding the extra pages with no price hike is a class move. |
| #30The_JesterJul 14, 2014 9:50:00 | First thought: Wow, that's awesome.
Second thought: I must tweet how awesome this is. (Oh internet.)
Third thought: this might be the first time no one is snarky or negative on the forums regarding a L&L article. Then I read the forums. And there was negativity within the first five reponses. Way to go us. |
| #31kill_the_wiz_firstJul 14, 2014 9:52:25 | Sorry, The_Jester. Please see my Sig for more details. |

Excellent news thanks the D&D team!! Increasing page count rather than cut statblocks, entries or monsters entirely was definitly the better options IMHO...
Never have too many of these and always need MOAR MONSTARZ
