Hey Everyone,
I picked up my 5th Edition Monster Manual today at my local WPN store, and as I was drooling, reading, absorbing and pretty much having a nostalgia overload since 1980, found a glaring error with two of the pages within.
Pages 140 (gargoyle) and 141 (beginning of the genies) seem like poor photocopies. Pg. 141 is black and white mostly.
Anyone else have any issues with their copy?
I just checked those pages myself and they looked fine on my copy. You can probably just exchange it at your store for a fresh copy.
Interesting that you posted this. The FLGS where I bought my MM had a copy on those exact pages that was almost entirely black like a burnt xerox copy or something, I would take it back, I know the owner of the store is sending his back to the distributor with a replacement. Not sure if they have found any other copies like this or not. My copy is perfect, as well as the other players in our groups, so I don't think this is common.

It's good to know that this isn't a common issue with the printing. A part of me wants to return it, however the collecter side of me wants to go ahead and keep it as this error is not common; therefore making my copy unique in some ways as Kavrek mentioned above, ie; other copies may have varying degrees of this printing issue.

By the way,
I was hoping to see a Nymph in this edition, as well as the old dungeon hazard, Green Slime. Anyone else miss any particular creatures not found inside the Monster Manual?
Sucks for those who want to or have to order them online.
