Howdy! So I'm curious about the new Princes of the Apocalypse book. I'm not sure I'm keen on the idea of running premade scenarios (at least not yet, but that's a different story), but I am very interested in the supplemental materials. I know some or most is available in that free PDF, but I'm interested in the things not included therein.

Mostly I'm interested in the monsters, but I can't find a list of them. I was hoping somebody could shed just a touch of light on them? I'm not looking for much - just a name even. I'd appreciate any help!

Oh! And I'm sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere or if somebody knows where I can find said list - even if you could politely point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful!

The only new *monsters* in the adventure are four elemental myrmidons (CR 7 elementals with plate armor). The rest are all NPCs, most of which are human cultists. There is a large four-armed sahuagin named Ghald, though.

Just to tell you the NPC's are a large ammount of Cultists and 4 of the new monsters are the Princes of Elemental Evil themselves.

I was just glad to see the Elemental Archons of 4e be reborn in 5e as Myrmidons (since Archon was sent back to its Celestial role from 3e and earlier).

Just to update you, in addition to the Elemental Evil Player's Companion Wizards have now also released a Princes of the Apocalypse Adventure Supplement that includes all the monsters and magical items from the adventure. You can get both here: http://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/princes-apocalypse

With an adventure that is so elemental themed I really hope there are some cool genies in it.  I think the genies would make good allies against powerful godlike archomentals.

"It's worth pointing out that the supplement does not include the monsters and magic items from the adventure. It only includes the ones from the MM and DMG that aren't already provided in either the free basic rules or the adventure itself."

Apologies, my mistake I must have somehow glossed over this.

That said, it's still pretty good for people who don't own the MM or DMG.

@Brock_Landers

In answer to your questions, in the Elemental Evil book you get around 7-8 new monsters/NPCs associated with each of the four cults (8 for the Howling Hatred cult including Iniaties, Priests and their leader, 8 for the Black Earth cult, 7 for the Eternal Flame cult, and 7 for the Crushing Wave cult). In addition you get 5 other 'villians' that aren't cult related.

Now the bit you sound more interested in - you also get idividual Elemental Myrmidon's for Air, Earth, Fire and Water (these are all CR 7). And lastly, yes, you do get full stat-blocks for Imix, Ogrémoch, Olyhydra &Yan-C-Bin's including lair actions. They range between CR 18-20.

Hope that's useful to you.

Also, and unrelated...

"Those people are exactly who this supplement is for." & "Indeed just like the last two supplements (for Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Rise of Tiamat) these free supplements are to provide the stats for spells, magic items, and monsters used in the adventures that aren't detailed in the adventure or the free player and DM basic rules so that people working from the starter set or the basic rules can still use the adventures wthout needing to buy the PHB, DMG, or MM."

Thanks, I feel like people are trying to point this out to me though when that was my point in the first place haha. Maybe I misunderstood you, thanks anyway guys.
