#1 Velcerick Mar 09, 2015 14:35:21	I haven't heard recently if there are plans for an official electronic toolkit for 5e, so I wanted to let people know about a product that is currently Kickstarting. I've been Alpha testing The City of Brass for the past several months, and it is a great suite of tools. We played our first real 5e campaign since it official launched using the city, and it was a great resource for both the DM and us players. Since the product is system neutral, there isn't any official 5e content in the City, but it is easy enough to build and play a 5e character using the City, and our DM assures me that the app works just the same for running a 5e game as any other.    My favorite part of the City, when compared to other online and boxed tools I've used, is its ease of use. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and you end up with documents which are similarly professional looking and useful in play. You can see a piece of our fantasy game world here, along with a sci-fi setting we played in for another game. Both of those pages were created using the City. We also collaboratively built the setting where we played Horde of the Dragon Queen, with each player earning in-game rewards for contributing the District (read that as 'setting'). Although we've done similar world-building before, we've never been able to collaborate directly before, at least in part due to lack of access and technical skills necessary. With the city it was easy to just add an item to one of the districts (a site, a lore record, or a notable NPC, organization, or religion) for the contribution.    Anyway, if this is against the rules, or is in the wrong forum, feel free to move or delete it. If not, feel free to ask me about the City and I'll do my best to answer. I'm not a developer, but I'm relatively familiar with their plans and there is an FAQ over at the KS page that answers some of the most common questions.

#3 Farmer42 Mar 10, 2015 12:13:25	http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/gazing-crystal-ball Actually, they have.  Given how the DMG got pushed back, it probably pushed the 5e license developement back, as well.  Origins is in June, and GenCon is in August.  Expect the announcement to be around those two conventions.

I suppose you could copy/paste the content into a document if you really wanted it in another format; but I can say that the City does make very nice documents and pages; its one of my personal favorite aspects when compared to other tools. Hopefully you'll consider supporting the project, but if not you still might want to try it out when it goes live since there's a 30 day trial period to see if it is worth your subscription cost.   Shasarak wrote:
