As the title says.

Generally voted for the tall races over the smaller ones in terms of power level. Voted for half orcs and dragonborn over gnomes/halflings.  Had human vs Drow and half elf vs wood elf as options as wells o voted for the human and the half elf.

I can understand those choices.

The half-elf is just extremely powerful with a +2 charisma and +1 to two other things.

And there is a good reason why nearly every guide counts human as (one of) the best option.

The RP part of the game is cool, but looking at my awesome Fire Genasi Fire-Sorcerer and realising that he would be a lot better as an half-elf is quite lame.

Half elf more or less obsolete every other racial choice for the charisma based classes. Hell it obsoletes most of the other races for a secondary or tertiary charisma score.

The half-elf has always been my favorite race conceptually, but I think this is the first edition in which the race is actually worth playing. I hope they don't nerf it.

Anyone else notice that Mike conveniently made no mention of the ranger?

I noticed the Ranger thing but I could not rememebr if it was in the last survey,. The hunter ranger is fine, the beastmaster meh and I left negative feedback about that sub class.

Half Elves were fine in AD&D in several classes and multiclass as they were the only one who could truiple class (Fighter/Mage/Thief) and they had generous level limits in a lot of classes as well. In 1E they were strictly better than humans in a few classes such as thief. They generally made good Bards, Druids, and decent fighter/clerics and various MC combinations. 3E made them suck though not to sure about 4E although the PHB Half Elf seemed weak with the PHB classes.

i attempted to take the survey but when i got to the question "Ideally, what level should the characters reach before a campaign comes to an end?" i could not give an answer.  it depends on the adventure so i left it blank.  however, the survey requried that i answer the question before moving on to the next page.  so i closed the survey and did not particpate.  this is more of FYI to anyone making surveys, if you force people to answer questions and they find a question they are unable to answer good chance they will not take your survey.   do not force every question to be answered!!!

How did people rate the adventures? I rated LMoP quite well, HotDQ the lowest I could, RoT average and elemental evil as unplayed.
