So I just recently started watching alot of DnD and RP like games on Twitch recently and it seems like something I'd really like to get into since I have a lot of free time at the moment! But I have no idea how to get started and most of my friends would never be willing to play a game like this with me! What I was wondering was if anyone would be willing to take me into there group teach me how to play I'm free Monday - Friday all day, I work on Weekends and no summer classes for me! I'm willing to learn and I'm open to being taught! This is also my 1st post here so forgive me for any and all errors, please PM me here, or email me at Pabloabarca714@yahoo.com. I'm hoping to here from somebody as this looks like im something I'd love to do! (Open for Online sessions or sessions in Souther California :D)

One of the best ways to get started is to see if there are any game stores around you that host Adventure League play. Usually one night a week they will do expeditions and another day encounters. They are open to the public and anyone can sit down and start playing. I've found the environment very open to new players as we all want the hobby to expand.

At my local game shop we went from one table of 6 to 3 tables of 6 each in the year that 5th has come out. Just last night we had a new player who'd never played before join a table.

Depending on where you are it might be easy or impossible to find a place that plays. Another place to check out in http://roll20.net/ They have a great community and a decent "Looking for Group" system built right in. There are other VTTs out there, but I'm not familiar with them, and so can't honestly recommend (though others might).

Good luck and happy rolling!

Peace!
