She's played 4e, and has been involved in the public play test, so she had a good idea of what she needed to do. She also had a concept. So was born Garret Holmeapple, a level 3 rogue with the arcane trickster archetype and the criminal background. Personality, ideal, bond, and flaw were chosen from the criminal suggestions. Race: halfling light foot. My character is Duck (real name Mallard), a barbarian 1/fighter 2 with the entertainer (bare knuckle boxer) background. I selected personality traits from a browsing of all the backgrounds. I selected human as his race. After we finished writing them up we got to talking, and we had a bit of a laugh imagining the two of them in the pub; Garret, a small, unremarkable halfling with his glib tongue getting him into trouble and Duck, the big, burly guy sitting with him, dwarfing him, steadily getting very, very drunk. We ended this session here. We're planning on getting our two friends over at some point this week to create their characters. Well probably rotate DMing between two of us.
