| #1Brother_GriftenAug 18, 2014 6:11:35 | Hi everyone,
Has anyone done any work on coming up with rules for races not in the PHB? I had a Shadar-Kai monk in my old campaign that could somewhat translate to being a Way of Shadow monk in 5e, but coming up with stats for the race is currently a roadblock. Same for my Githzerai Avenger.
Anyone homebrewed any of the "missing" races? |

There was also some really good work done on an Aasimar race that basically flipped the Tiefling racial entry. Unfortunately I don't know where it is on these boards. |

| #13NautilusAug 18, 2014 16:27:45 | Eladrin? I'm looking forward to the DMG even more now. I'd expect them to be inspired by the 2e Planescape eladrin, and possibly to fill the 'good outsider' niche. |

+2 Dex and +2 to Wis or Int +1 Fortitude +2 Death Saving Throws Shadow Jaunt (teleport 15 feet as a move action and become insubstantial until the end of your next turn).
For 5e, I was thinking
+2 Dex, +1 Int +2 Death Saving Throws Proficiency in Spiked Chain (though thay weapon doesn't currently exist, so...) ...
Can Shadow Jaunt stay as is? Is it too powerful? Would the end result be not balanced enough compared to the other races? |
