The following is a rough guide to the amount of healing available to the game via several sources. I have assigned each source an amount of points. How many points does the average party need? That would vary by the group but generally 1 point I would regard as minimum, 2 points a generous amount and more than 2 points perhaps excessive.
The ponit system is just a rough guide based on a gut feel and assumes 2 short rests per day. Bard ratings also assume they know some of the basc healing spells have taken the right spells with magical secrets.
Cleric Life1/Lore Bard 6+ (with goodberry and Aura of Vitality) 2 Cleric (Life1/Land Druid XYZ) 2 Cleric (Life) 1.5 Clerics (everything else) 1 Druid 0.75 Favored Soul (life) 0.5 Healer Feat 1 Lore Bard 0.75 (1 level 6+) Paladin 0.5 Ranger 0.25 Rogue (Thief) with Healer Feat 1.25 Valor Bard 0.75
My current players clock in at 3.25 probably excessive healing (Druid/Cleric, Thief with healer and Paladin)
