#1 JohnLynch Jul 06, 2014 4:20:33	I was reading the Halfling entry and saw that lucky is an atwill ability. For those who've had a chance to already play with the Basic Rules, how has the lucky ability played out at your table and how does it compare to other races' abilities?   In Pathfinder I had a Halfling who devoted a number of resources into getting to reroll d20s a few times a day. Being able to do it anytime I get a 1 seems awesome in comparison.
#2 pukunui Jul 06, 2014 4:28:18	I've been playing a halfling PC with the Lucky trait since the March 2013 playtest packet. Being able to reroll 1s on my d20 rolls has been awesome. I love it.
#3 kalil Jul 06, 2014 5:11:26	It is the strongest racial in the game, rivalled only by the mountain dwarf's free armor proficiency (only for mages) and possibly the variant human's free feat (if PHB feats are similar to the last playtest packet then variant human is the dominant choice for all classes by miles and miles). So, it is very very good, but not game breaking by any stretch.
#4 AaronOfBarbaria Jul 06, 2014 5:44:27	I find it to be a very cool feature... but I also find it to be one that isn't really all that valuable to me personally. I prefer features which are actually doing what they do no matter what, and if I don't roll a 1 all night it's like Lucky hasn't done anything.   I've got a player that "always rolls low" though, and he'll probably strongly consider playing a Halfling becuase of this trait (and then still never play anything but dwarves as he has done for ever, exluding an exceptionally rare once ever that I saw him play a human).
#5 Rhenny Jul 06, 2014 6:37:42	Great feature.  It adds tons of excitement.    In the last session I played in, it only triggered once for the Halfling rogue, but it was a great moment.
#6 Plaguescarred1 Jul 06, 2014 6:56:20	It was me and i agree it was  agreat moment as i rolled high! Especially since i had forgotten on the moment and suddenly remembered, wait i'm an halfling with Lucky yes? I CAN REROLL!  (i don't play often as i DM most of the time)    Lucky has a lot to love...

#8 Blackdog2k Jul 06, 2014 10:52:08	In my game the halfling's luck has prevented him from going to jail twice.   I must say, the little guy really is pushing his luck.
#9 mellored Jul 06, 2014 10:56:24	It's fun, and reasonably strong but not overwhelming.   If you have a 50% chance to succed, lucky will give you a 52.5% chance to succed.
