Player Handbook falls apart?

Morning folks,

I would like to know if anyone has had any issues with the player handbook falling apart after short/minimal usage?

I was pleased to participate in the playtest of D&D next while deployed, and as it came close to the release of 5th, I held out on the hopes of a proverbial bone for participating. My D&D group are getting back together with the excitement thats been taking place over the past year. As it stands, we were all in the air on which edition to play from.  I wanted to go 2nd edition, for the nostalgia, and then we almost settled on 3rd as between us we have a large library to pull from. None of us looked at 4th edition, and with 5th it seems very interesting, it would be a great learning curve for all of us.

Looking through Amazon for a PHB, and reading reviews, I learned the book tends to fall apart after a few months. I'm sure this is something already known and complained about (for good reason).  Has WotC upgraded the book binding since then? I'd hate to order the books and have them fall apart at the table after a couple sessions.  As we know, being a DM and using books for reference, one tends to flip many pages.

Perhaps these are isolated instances?

Thanks for your replies, they are appreciated.

A few people have, but most havn't.  It seems like there was a bad batch from the printers.

As far as i know they've replaced the bad books.
