I'm picking up quite a bit from skimming these threads on a fairly regular basis, as well as a couple other sources like the Legend & Lore series of articles. What about blogs that are covering 5e -- particularly from a DM perspective? A link to Merric's Musings raised the question of what else, like that blog, I should bookmark and check in on from time to time? I welcome self-promotion....

Some Blogs I Read:

 

The Middle-Aged DM: The blogger who is also one of my players and my DM. He's funny and polite on account of being a Canadian. But also kind of filthy.

 

Deeper in the Game: This is pretty much my favorite blog right now. Blows away anything else I'm reading (sorry Jason). You guys really need to read the recent series on dungeon design and anything from the Broken RPG Culture section.

 

The Dungeon Dozen: A crazy amount of d12 tables for generating (often hilarious) ideas and content. This one is a serious time vampire. You will get sucked dry of time if you click on that link. A link on the left side goes to a fan's blog that indexes all of the tables to make them easier to sort during play.

 

Surf's D&D Blog: Because I suck at math and need smart people to explain that sort of thing to me.

 

Dungeon Mastery: bawylie's blog because bawylie.

 

The Crooked Staff Blog: I use a lot of the maps from here.

 

Doubleplus Fun (Thoughtcrime Games): Quinn Murphy's blog. Really smart stuff here.

 

Look, Robot: I got this guy linked in my signature a couple of times already and if I had more room, I'd link more.

 

I read so many more, and my apologies to anyone who deserves a shoutout but didn't get one - these are just off the top of my head. I'd like to see some more 5e specific blogs out there so I'll be watching this thread. I tend to read blogs that cover a variety of games or focus on gamemastering in general.

Reddit.  Apparently it has some sort of nasty reputation around these forums, but I find it to be a great source for unbiased pre-filtered ideas.

I find reddit a lot easier to read for long popular threads than forums such as these, because you quickly skim the highly upvoted comments and avoid the cruft.  And of course threads are sorted by popularity, rather than based on who can constantly bump and respond to a thread the most.
