When tales are told of the most legendary warriors, slayers are the heroes those stories speak of. Slayers are elite shock troops, standing at the forefront of battle with a combination of strong armor, advanced tactical cunning, and a mastery of withering weapon attacks.
Development thoughts Show Lvl 1 Heroic slayer This is best modeled by the fighters fighting style. Of course not every fighting style is thematically appropriate for a slayer, but that's up to the player to choose. Weapon Talent This doesn't belong in 5e. Fighter Stances Good level 7 ability

How is the Slayer, the classic "damage per second", or more like a D&D avenger, a witch hunter, with an offensive style and lower defense?
What if slayer fighters are used by DM before the final dungeon boss? |

Not to mention you let it recharge on sort rest, which means its probably going to get used 6 times a day. This guy is going to be a power house with out losing anything. I understand keeping it at short rest, but i think you need to change that damage to something smaller. Let it scale similar to battle master. start at 2d6, then a extra die every time the battle masters dice size goes up. |
| #6AhrimonAug 16, 2015 1:48:21 | @arnwolf666 I added that it ends on incapacitation. Which means he can be knocked out of it by Incapacition or the effects that include it; paralyzed, petrefied, and unconcious. I could see adding stunned on there.
@cowleymen I was looking for something that can bring more damage than the battlemaster since they get effects with their dice. I whipped together a chart to compare and the 2h weilder numbers do get a bit high. I'll do some tweaking to see what I can change. I was considering dropping the stances all together and spreading out the Power Strike upgrades. Perhaps drop the 3x and just allow more uses... I'll have to look at it. Thanks for noticing that it ramped up higher than expected.
Level breakdown assuming 2 short rests a day.
