Half-Orc - Strength Mountain Dwarf - Strength Dragonborn - Strength
Dwarf - Constitution |

Starting with an18 would actually kind of suck in 5e. It was required in 4e, and pretty much required in 3/3.5/PF too.

I like the system as-is for now. At least give it a chance for a few months before you change stuff around, that my thinking. |
| #6TheLyonsAug 12, 2014 18:38:27 | The only real purpose for me is that I dislike that a few class and race combos get a 17 in their prime stat, several others cap at 16 and the rest are stuck at 15. I know this has sort of been the case before as you had to play a +2 dex race in 3.5 to start with a 20 dex for example. I just hate that there is precisely 9 different ways to start with a 17, ranging from 0 races for charisma to 3 races for strength. That's it. If all races could start with a 16 in something that would be fine. I really liked how class added a point in the playtest and may modify it to something like that but again banning anything above 17 |
