So, do you suck at drawing your character?

Greetings, all. So, before I begin this post, I should probably state that I am more than slightly inibriated, as a result of getting a job offer today when I haven't had one for more than a few months. So, cheers to me, and....well,

So, I'm a D&D player. However, I cannot draw for *crap*. Like, stick figures. Fellow people who suck at drawing know what I mean.

Well, I recently became aware of a Kickstarter for "MyVatar". Check it out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/uuddgames/myvatar

Long story short is.....you can have a computer draw your character for you, rather than having to a.) stick-figure it out yourself, or b.) as a friend to.

If this is verboten, I apologize. Like I said,. tipsy, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. If it is not.....well, what do you all think?

Well before I look at the kickstarter how does it compare to Hero Builder? I can draw/paint my guys however, its just nice to create NPCs on the fly some times for adventures or Roll20 clip art.

Maybe this is my one-true-wayism speaking but D&D isn't D&D without poorly drawn player art, usually pencilled into the borders of a character sheet while you are waiting for some other blowhard player to finish up his turn.

I'm not great, but I've gotten better since watching Mark Crilley's YouTube videos and practicing along with them.

Have you no starving art students near by?

My wife does the cutest puppy dog doodles.  When I try the  same thing, it always looks  nasty . . .  somebody's genitals nasty.

Anyway. MyVatar looks cool but at this rate, can the kickstarter reach full funding?  And paying to unlock items.  Not sure how I feel about that.  Video-gamey?

Think I'll just find a gaming buddy who can draw.  Pay him or her for the effort.  Last fella moved but always looking .

my art is terrible. I just draw a symbol that represents my character or the party. It usually takes me an hour or more to produce some very substandard art.
