I've been reading Hoard of the Dragon Queen, planning to run it, but keep running into monsters that are mssing from the online DM supplement. Blue dragon, bullywug, ettercap, otyugh, shambling mound, troglodyte, urd, violet fungus, will-o'-wisp, yuan-ti, etc., etc. And these are just the ones I remember, off the top of my head - I'm sure there are a few others. Some of these are mainly just on the encounter charts, but some, like the blue dragon, bullywugs and otyugh, are in the main encounters. As stands, contrary to what WotC claims, you cannot run this module with just the online supplement - not even close. Very sloppy. I'm not impressed.
Has anyone heard anything about when the supplement will catch up with the module? As stands, it looks like I'll be waiting for the Monster Manual...
All the monsters I've needed so far have been in DM Basic Rules, the online supplement, or the Appendix of the adventure.
