I did some research a while back and learned that there's never been an official Tarrasque miniature. I was thinking that, with the new edition and how they did away with the Colossal Size, maybe this'll finally be the edition where WotC commissions a company to start mass producing Tarrasque Miniatures. I've always wanted to see how such a fight would go down on a tabletop and I've personally, always wanted to fight the Tarrasque, but I've never played a campaigh that reached a high enough level or with people that had the money/time to build a mini for the legendary nightmare. So what do you all think? Expect that Wizards will make it happen? Think not? I'm interested in hearing all kinds of opinions and speculations.
If they did release a Tarrasque mini, it should be in the same vain as the Tiamat, Bahamut and Ancient Dragon mini's - released in a non-random box. I for one would purchase said mini in a heartbeat, especially if it was well sculpted.
Is it still a mini I wonder? One pound of solid plastic would surely count for at least a midi, right?
with the advent of personalized 3D printers Im sure someone has considered sculpting one of these 
I've already got a mini that works perfectly for a tarrasque - I don't need one that is "official"
Note: That's not my paint job - I haven't even gotten around to painting the minis I've been using constantly, let alone the ones that I haven't dreamed up a scenario to use in yet.
Painting mini's is too much work for me. I would rather construct adventures and encounter :-) To each his own.
I'd love to see one on the scale of 4e's Orcus, and 3e's colossal red dragon. True, it'd probably cost 100 bucks, but...I'd consider getting it for a display piece. The trick is, making it look great, and not like one of millions of Godzilla action figures. (which anyone could use anyway....)
Something else I wish Wizkids would do is go through all the classes/sub-classes, races, and genders and actually make a PC mini of EACH of them. At our table, we tend to use minis for PCs, and 4e's tokens for monsters, anyway.
There's a lot of popular creatures that don't get minis, or if they do, they're "rare"/collectable, that therefore super over-priced. You can't get a beholder for less than 20-30 bucks, for example. Put an end to the 'collecable' blind buy BS and just sell us pre-painted plastic, please. If I wanted MtG I'd play/buy that crap. I want to know what minis I'm getting when I buy them.
