So... What are the chances for people to submit ideas for publication?

Nothing major, just something to be released in the Unearthed Arcana articles and speed up the process of new things being created and distributed with some modicum of standardized balancing. And all they would be required is that they acknowledge all the people in the forums that helped make the final product. Not the team at WotC but the users in the forums. I mean, there are loads of new bloodlines and martial archetypes, as well as new pacts for warlocks from peoples homebrew. but they don't have much when it comes to unified balancing and review.

Finally, I think that WotC should start official threads with the things that are published in the Unearthed Arcana for official responses. Things like how super vague the changling ability is and like how the Aarakocra are broke off the bat with the huge flying speed except in dungeon based games.

There is a potential legal mess if WotC were to accept unsolicited materials for publication consideration, which is probably part of why the user agreement when signing up for this forum states a clause that anything any user posts here is WotC's to own (to protect against any chance that a WotC employee read something on this forum, mostly forgot about it, and then later had the idea come to mind and get included in a publication without crediting the forum user as a source because the employee didn't remember where the idea got in their head from, and then that user having grounds for legal action against that employee and/or WotC).

Also, having WotC include your stuff in an Unearthed Arcana article is not actually going to influence whehter or not people on this forum find it to be a good idea or for D&D players at large to decide to include it in their games - write your stuff, share it, and people will either like and use it or they won't.

As for official threads to discuss things published in Unearthed Arcana... not actually necessary or beneficial. The folks at WotC are plenty reachable through social media if any particular fan just has to have some input from them, and WotC has a process of releasing the UA articles, giving the community some time, and then using surveys to collect feedback on those articles in a way they can actually use (which a string of forum replies is not).

ok, then on that note, I usually post a link to my google drive account and thus it isn't on this site. does that count as owned by them then? Sometimes i link to another forum entirely which has a link to my google drive account.
