#1 SteveMND Sep 15, 2015 14:45:36	Okay, so, one of our regular group was going to be running Out of the Abyss here shortly, and I noticed the following new Bond in the Appendix: "Years ago, a vicious noble named Ghazrim DuLoc was implicated in the death of someone you cared about. The crime was covered up, though, and DuLoc disappeared. Rumor has it the Zhentarim aided his escape, but you’ve sworn to find him one day."   I'd like to take that, but I'd like to know a little more about DuLoc first, so I can more properly fashion my character's backstory, but for obvious reasons, i didn't want to go poring through the book for that sort of information.   All I'd need would be just a couple of non-spoilerish stuff: namely, what race is he, and from where, etc.?  Is he an vicious noble drow from Menzoberanzen?  Some unscrupulous elf from Waterdeep, or somewhere else topside?  Etc.  Just enough so I know where my guy would have been involved with him in the past.   Also, in a similar vein, my character was a Warlock, who was thinking about the Great Old One patron.   Given the other sample Bond regarding once having melded with the Myconid's telepathic spores, that seemed like a interesting approach, and I liked the idea of him having the Awakened Mind ability and explaining it away as (unbeknownst to him) having some of Zuggtmoy's spores in his brain.   I know many of the demon lords and ladies (including her) have a big part to play in this scenario -- do you think that would work?  Or would there be a spot in the module where a warlock with her specifically as a patron would just enter a cavern and immediately devolve into non-sentient fungal jelly or something?  I don't mind issues or problems and tough choices that he'd need to deal with, but I don't know if the adventure takes that sort of stuff into consideration or not, and I'd just as soon prefer to not have to start over with a new character halfway through or something.   Thanks in advance!
