| #1NicodaudelJul 02, 2014 17:41:02 | Just wanted to recreate my post in the pre-gen thread from the DDN General Discussion forum. DropBox links for each of the five PCs are below - three in PDF as officially spoiled, two in hi-res images as posted on ENWorld. I will remove these files once WotC posts the pre-gens in PDF, presumably when Basic D&D launches, etc.
Dwarf Cleric (PDF) Elf Wizard (PDF) Halfling Rogue, p. 1 (2448 x 3264 JPEG) Halfling Rogue, p. 2 (2448 x 3264 JPEG) Human Fighter (melee) (PDF) Human Fighter (ranged), p. 1 (720 x 960 JPEG) Human Fighter (ranged), p. 2 (720 x 960 JPEG)
EDIT: I've just now uploaded the blank second page (of the pre-gen sheet) that was created/shared by several people in the DDN General Discussion forum. It should go well with any of the official sheets now available from the main "Character Sheets" page. |
| #2setiJul 02, 2014 18:09:15 | Cool, thanks. I do like looking at these.
On a related note, if I play a caster, I guess I'll do what I've always done. Put all my spells known on 3x5 note cards, and arrange the ones I prepare for that day in a pile for that day, separate from all the ones I know. No biggie. Besides, writing them out like that on 'spell cards' makes me pretty much memorize what they do, so I don't need to be page-flipping and slowing down everyone's combat.
I'm thinking everyone will have to do this, or something similar.
In 4e, we all did that for our AEDU powers, and even used green, red, and grey markers to boarder them. It was a lot of cards, sure...But it worked really well. |
| #3pukunuiJul 02, 2014 17:53:10 | I made a whole lot of Force Power Cards for my SWSE game. I might do the same for D&D spells. Will help with all the spellcasting NPCs that have big spell lists with no descriptions in the statblocks too. |

| #5eleranJul 02, 2014 18:15:37 | Great idea. On a related note maybe we can make a request of the Codename:Morningstar folks for a feature that takes a list of known spells and prints spell cards from them? |

| #8FallingIcicleJul 02, 2014 19:50:43 | Thank you for posting these. |
| #9NicodaudelJul 02, 2014 20:02:41 | It's no problem at all. Thanks!
If anyone has better versions of the Halfling Rogue or ranged Fighter, please post here - I'd be happy to update my linked files. |
| #10WelkerJJul 03, 2014 12:01:50 | I for one would like to have WotC release all of the pregens in PDF format. That way I can save on wear and tear on the ones in the Starter Set. After doing multiple instore demos, I am affraid they will not last long if I can't print replacements as needed. Thanks Nicoduadel for what you have posted. |

| #12NicodaudelJul 03, 2014 22:08:26 | For those who missed it, WotC has added a ZIP archive full of character sheets to the main website's "Character Sheets" page. Several versions are included - Basic/PHB three-pager (standard or form fillable), two alternatives to the Basic/PHB version, and the Adventurers League two-pager. |
| #13NicodaudelJul 10, 2014 18:29:55 | Late yesterday, Trevor messaged me back about WotC potentially releasing the pre-gens as PDFs . . .
@Trevor_WotC : It will happen, but at this moment it's scheduled to happen after July 15th. |
| #14ZiusnafallionJul 12, 2014 11:22:39 | I've used one of the 3-page form-fillable character sheets I downloaded from the forums to create pregens for the Starter Set. I created alternates as well for all of the 5 pregens from the box to give my players more variety (none wanted to play the halfling, so all of the variants are human, elf, or dwarf sorry). I only used the first page of the 3-page sheets, but also created a second pdf for each character for the back of the character sheet, with background, leveling info, etc. As well as spells for the casters. The variants have very minor differences from the pregens from the box. Mostly just race and a few traits and such. The human wizard is the only one different enough from the original (elf wizard) to probably be able to be played as a separate character. Have them here on my dropbox if anyone wants to check them out:

| #18PromJul 22, 2014 19:15:30 | Totally awesome, Thank you. |
| #19JC999Jul 22, 2014 19:33:02 | Apparently they're hidden on Wizards' site: http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/StarterSet_Characters.pdf
I found that link on another forum, it doesn't seem to actually be posted anywhere on the main site that I can find. |
| #20Chiba_MonkeyJul 22, 2014 22:27:38 | I came to the forums today specifically to find these. Couldn't find them on the site. I just bought the set, and I don't want to write on my only copies. I have access to a printer, but oddly enough not a copier (for free, anyway).
Thanks JC999.
