The Jungle Of Dread

We could not understand, because we were too far and could not remember, because we were travelling in the night of First
Ages, of those Ages that are gone, leaving hardly a sign and no memories. We are accustomed to look upon the shackled
form of a conquered monster, but there, there you could look at a thing monstrous and free.

As The Sundering nears it's end an ancient evil progenitor once thought long extinct awakens deep within the jungles of Chult. The once proud citizens of Mezro have scattered and reverted over the past few generations to their primitive origins and are threatened by invading tribes. The rushing waters of the many rivers have turned black and foul and the primoridal aspects of Ubtao are being corrupted for an unknown purpose. You must survive the savage lands of Chult and turn the tide of evil that threatens not only the jungle island but all of Faerûn.

The Jungle of Dread is the first adventure in the Night Serpent Trilogy. We (my co-author and I) are currently seeking Dungeon Masters willing to playtest sections with their groups for balance, story flow as well as general critique. Those interested please reply below and selected individuals will receive additional information and scheduling details. Participants (and their players) will have their names included in the credits (based on level of participation/feedback) as well as the first electronic copies of the module before public release.

Thank you.

Sounds interesting.  When do you expect the finished product to be released?  Will this be available via rpgnow or something similar?

Dendar the Night Serpent and the Yuan TI I am guessing. Not sure how they are putting that area back togather again after they blew it up in 4E.

I would be interested in a look though.

What's the what's the criteria for being selected to be in the play test?

For our group, I've been playing since 1986ish, DMing from 1989 to 5 years ago of the various D&D edition except 4th.  Also played PF the past 5 years with a smattering of Marvel, DC, Rolemaster, MERP, Rifts, Vampire thrown in.  2 of my players have been playing since 89 as well. We play roughly once every three weeks though.  None of us are power gamers / min-maxers.

Let me know if this play time is enough and we'd like to help out.

We are looking for all types of DMs and Players. Experienced DMs, new DMs, min/maxers, hardcore roleplayers etc. We want to provide the right amout of everthing for all player types and dming styles. Since we're doing this in stages it's not like we need ppl to get it and play it within a week.

It should also be run as an occasional thing so as not to upset your normal campaigns. The sections will be released in chapters and they should be able to be run through in 2-3 long sessions, or 4-5 shorter ones depending on how experienced your groups are.

Feedback we're looking for:

1. Are the encounters/combats too difficult/easy as a whole?
2. Is there too much/too little combat/roleplaying/description?

3. Is there too much/too little background
3. Is the story engaging? Are your players enthusiastic?

etc. We may make up a questionnaire for players and dm's. Still discussing that.
