Hey guys,


I've posted narrative description of th events of The Cassalanter Code, my campaign I'm running.

 

THE CASSALANTER CODE

House Cassalanter are powerful Waterdhavian moneylenders who have recently opened a trade house in the booming hamlet of Secomber. By lending coin to prospective adventurers and offering coin vouchers in exchange for their spoils, they offer the prices of Waterdeeps promenades in a coin-poor region. 
This creative new venture has drawn the attention of the infamous Shadow Thieves who have dispatched the silken-tongued operative, Melnen Lemmik, to assess the operation for vulnerabilities.
Enter our intrepid adventurers and profiteers who will meet such characters as Findy the clandestine private investigator, Uriens the sallow and steely-eyed rogue with the haunted past and Al Ghouti, the mysterious, grey eyed paladin from the slave pits, far across the burning sands of Calimshan. With their help or hinderance, they will delve into the intrigue and hidden motives of the Shadow Thieves, House Cassalanter and the secrets of THE CASSALANTER CODE! 

 

So far we have run 8 play sessions and you can read them here if you're interested.

 

I'd be happy to share my module or accept advice from you more experienced DMs.  Thanks!

Ipecac, I read epsiode 8.  I really like the "tongue in cheek" style and the narrator's comments about the DM.   I'll jump back a few episodes and read forward when I get a chance.   Thanks for sharing.

Wow thanks for reading it! I have one of the two PC who reads the recaps if I remind him its up and one friend who checks in every once in a while. Its hard to want to keep it up if Im the only one reading it, ha! Please deel free to critique the story or give me DM pointers if you want. I would love it! :D

The maps are mostly borrowed, but if anyone is interested in the art or any part of my module for their own use, I'd be happy to share it. A question: I have 2 literary styles I use kind of interchangeably. One os quippy and light-hearted and the other is a true narrative with dialogue etc. Episode 6 "The Night Ranger Cometh" is written in this more descriptive voice. http://laughingpigtavern.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-cassalanter-code-episode-6-night.html?m=1 If you care to look at this one, which voice is more appealing for future adventures, in your opinion? I did a blog for my 4e Warlock on the WotC site; it should be around here somewhere.  I have no idea if anybody ever did read it.  Part of the fun of D&D for me is letting my 'inner Bard' do his thing after the rest of my imagination has had an adventure.  (Once in a while I go back and re-read my posts to refresh my memory.)

You can't steal something that is free to all!  I'm super glad you like the name.  

The other tavern in my campaign is called 'The Brass Tack' in Daggerford.  

 

So, I finished The Cassalanter Code in 11 episodes the other day and just put the finishing touches on the final recap.

There is something so awesome about the recaps; I love doing them.  I also put screenshots of my homemade tokens and scenes of the battles in there.

 

I'm putting it here so you can all incoporate it into your daily lives, as I'm sure you all will.. heh.
