| #1ZardnaarJul 27, 2015 23:38:12 | I am looking at running the Ruins of Nol Daer for 5E. It is an adventure for 5-8th level PCs from 1E Dungeon magazine. I am more or less planning on running it straight out of the book for some level 7 PCs. The big bads in the adventure are a pair of mated Black Dragons (5E young ones probably) and a Cambion who casts spells as a 5th level wizard and has 7th level thief abilites. Most of the rest of the monsters are things like Trolls, Shadows, Ghouls so straight from the 5E MM is good enough.
Basically I am after some conversion ideas for Spriggans using ranged weapons, the Black Dragons can be a pair of young black Dragon siblings, and any advice for an advanced Cambion? I am tempted to replace the Spriggins with normal Cambions or Hobgoblins.
Ideas for an abyssal link would also be welcome as a plot hook. Theres some basic stuff in the adventures but the PCs have been hearing abbout night riders raiding the surrounding lands and are following up those leads.
IIRC I last played this adventure circa 1997. |
