Does this combo work with the thieves bonus use object action? I had a theory thast the healer feat was very good and put that theory into practive yesterday with the Light Cleric and suffice tosay I think I proved my theory. We finished the LMoP and the assassin I built for a player yesterday (new player) actually wanted to be a thief so the DM will allow him to tweak his character.

I think it would work with that special ability.  The Use an Object action is just for objects that require an action to use them, like the healer's kit action described in the Healers Feat.  The speical thief ability is a specific exception to the general rule.  So yeah, I don't see why not.  Nice find. I've often thought the true power of that abilty will come with magic items, but this one is a useful one too.

Zard, if you allow this, then rogues might not suck after all.

Hadn't thought of that. Dex/Cha Thief/Battlemaster is already a really cool class combo; this might make it the best healer in the game once you've got bonus-action medkits, Rally, and Inspiring Leader all recharging every short rest.

Oooo, neat! I'd love to see a build for that.

To apply first aid or stabilize a dying in 6 seconds is silly. So why not allow it using a bonus action!

He draw his healer kit faster than its shadow!

During playtest, I was a rogue and primary healer for my party with a healer's kit. I was so happy when the feat/abilities stayed the same.
